Why?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<p>Given my recent lack of material desires, I&#8217;d have to say, &#8220;yes.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m tempted to speak to my psychologist about <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Maslov's Hierarchy of Needs (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.simplypsychology.org\/maslow.html\" target=\"_blank\">Maslov&#8217;s Hierarchy of Needs<\/a> next visit.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>For so long, really since about two years after my diagnosis, I expended nearly all of my effort trying to meet the bottom two levels.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Now that I have what I want, certainly on the lowest level, there&#8217;s nothing else I really want.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>I am going to live until I die, whether I have nice things (which money could by) or not.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>I could complain that I have little input in much of anything in my life, but that&#8217;s ultimately an exercise in futility.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>So I don&#8217;t waste time on it.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Or, to put a finer point on it, I&#8217;m now not concerned about money, and there&#8217;s nothing on which I&#8217;d like to spend it.  Whatever I&#8217;d get probably wouldn&#8217;t make me happy.
