{"id":1890,"date":"2020-01-31T15:29:18","date_gmt":"2020-01-31T20:29:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/control-h.org\/wordpress\/?p=1890"},"modified":"2020-01-31T15:29:18","modified_gmt":"2020-01-31T20:29:18","slug":"shmoo-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/control-h.org\/index.php\/2020\/01\/31\/shmoo-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Shmoo Open"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I&#8217;m watching the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"livestream (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/videomon3\" target=\"_blank\">livestream <\/a>from home because I&#8217;m not feeling well, and don&#8217;t have a bed tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, a lot of the standard administrivia, but <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Bruce  (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gdead\" target=\"_blank\">Bruce <\/a>did hit on some of the sorts of things I&#8217;ve been thinking and writing about for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the vast, vast, vast majority of organizations, Infosec is a parasitic function on another parasitic function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McDonalds doesn&#8217;t exist to do Infosec;  don&#8217;t treat the folks behind the counter like morons because they don&#8217;t do Infosec.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I sure as hell couldn&#8217;t make the pink goo be very edible;  why would I presume the guy who can is an idiot because he has to write down his 95-character password?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a tool that lets people do what they&#8217;re hired to do more effectively.
