{"id":1975,"date":"2018-07-30T18:27:53","date_gmt":"2018-07-30T22:27:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/control-h.org\/blog\/wordpress\/?p=1082"},"modified":"2018-07-30T18:27:53","modified_gmt":"2018-07-30T22:27:53","slug":"eleven-7-30","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/control-h.org\/index.php\/2018\/07\/30\/eleven-7-30\/","title":{"rendered":"Eleven (7\/30)"},"content":{"rendered":"<header id=\"masthead\" class=\"site-header logged-in container\" role=\"banner\">\n<div class=\"site-branding clear\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"row header-wrapper col-xs-12\">\n<div class=\"top-nav col-xs-6 col-md-2 text-right\">\nActually making some progress with the various things related to relocation.<br \/>\nStill very unhappy about how all of this has transpired, but it&#8217;s completely awesome that the <em>Patient Protection &amp; Affordable Care<\/em> Act has pushed everyone into &#8220;employer-sponsored&#8221; healthcare through some really bad companies.<br \/>\nFor the past few years, I&#8221;d purchased insurance through the oh-so-wonderful Federal Exchange at healthcare.gov.<br \/>\nWhen I was first forced to do that in 2015, I purchased the most expensive plan from a major insurance that had been accepted by all of my doctors.<br \/>\nThe first time I went to use the new insurance, none of the specialists accepted my new plan.<br \/>\nDidn&#8217;t you say we could keep our plans, and doctors, Mr. President?<br \/>\nEnough of that, though.\u00a0 Amazingly enough, my new insurer, and my old one use the same prescription provider, and are willing to migrate things over from the old insurer to the new one, even though I&#8217;ve not yet found new specialists.\n<\/div>\n<p>That fun aside, I&#8217;m recycling a typical day prompt.<\/p>\n<div class=\"top-nav col-xs-6 col-md-2 text-right\">\nFrom 2011&#8230;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<div id=\"content\" class=\"site-content container white-background\">\n<div id=\"primary\" class=\"content-area content\">\n<article id=\"post-1253983\" class=\"post-content\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<em>Yes. Day nine again. *sigh* This is what happens when you can\u2019t type\u2026..<\/em><br \/>\n<em>So, my morning routine depends upon whether or not I\u2019m in the office. If I\u2019m in the office, this stuff happens about an hour earlier.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Wake up<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Pee<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Take pills, watch news<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Shower\/shave<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Take injection<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Ice injection site<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Dress<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Leave for work<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Get to work<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Work for about an hour on various stuff \u2014 mainly responding to E-Mail, etc.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Coffee<\/em><br \/>\n<em>After that, really depends upon what\u2019s going on. There\u2019s a concept called \u201ccore hours,\u201d where meetings are supposed to be conducted, etc. It\u2019s from 0900-1500. Regardless of where I am, I need to be fully engaged during that time. The hours before and after that are really for me to do administrative stuff.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>*yawn*<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Is it time for coffee, yet?<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In my current job, I work fully remotely.<br \/>\nI generally wake up sometime before 0600, as my wife is running off to her job.<br \/>\nIdeally, I&#8217;ll take my panoply of pills, drink two cups of coffee, and eat some breakfast.<br \/>\nThen shower, and drag myself to where I work.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m trying to miss the parts about taking injections.<br \/>\nNope.\u00a0 Not working.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m adept at working remotely.\u00a0 I&#8217;m going to have to go in to an office some time soon to pick up a security jibble I&#8217;ll need to do some work.<br \/>\nAnd after I wrote that, I just ended up working\u00a0 until 1820 EDT.\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Sofa King Done.<br \/>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Actually making some progress with the various things related to relocation.
