\nLike most things, I’m convinced there isn’t anything government can do to help.
\nIn fact, I’ve heard repeated arguments lately that government actually caused this problem with their dietary guidelines.
\nSome will claim that those are there really at the behest of the grain industry.\u00a0 Maybe.
\nNo, actually not.\u00a0 It’s not okay, but there’s nothing that can be done about it, now.\u00a0 Locking Michelle Obama in a cage isn’t going to fix the overweight sixteen year-old that got fat eating those wonderful school lunches.
\nIn so many instances, it is about calories consumed, primarily.
\nNewsflash:\u00a0 portion control works.\u00a0 I lost a lot of weight after my diagnosis by doing this:\u00a0 1.\u00a0 Eat good food.\u00a0 2.\u00a0 Accompany that good food with satisfying alcoholic beverages, and 3.\u00a0 reducing my portion sizes.
\nEat what you like.\u00a0 Cut your portions in half.\u00a0 If you’re still hungry after you eat the first helping, have seconds.\u00a0 But cut those seconds in half, too.
\nI’m writing, because I intend to finish this all out.
\nAt the same time, I’m not tweeting it (which also posts to FB).
\nFuck it;\u00a0 I’m done.\u00a0 Between what’s happened in the past few days, and Lurch’s proposals for government fucking with the Intertubes, I’m done.
\nMuch like Mrs. Clinton’s bit about requiring encryption backdoors, this is something that just won’t work.\u00a0 Congress isn’t bright enough to understand that, but I guess if they wanna lock me in a cage, what can I do?
\nBut my question, to many pols of both major parties, is simple:\u00a0 How many people are you willing to put in prison to accomplish your goal?
