{"id":259,"date":"2017-11-29T04:18:36","date_gmt":"2017-11-29T04:18:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/control-h.org\/?p=259"},"modified":"2017-11-29T04:18:36","modified_gmt":"2017-11-29T04:18:36","slug":"11-28-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/control-h.org\/index.php\/2017\/11\/29\/11-28-17\/","title":{"rendered":"11.28.17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>What is a favorite hobby?\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\nOther than shopping for makeup, because you know every girl has to have 1,000,000 lipsticks.<br \/>\nCooking. \u00a0I LOVE cooking!! \u00a0Being in the kitchen makes me happy. \u00a0I love browsing recipes, selecting ingredients, and making a complete dish. \u00a0The feel of the knife in my hand, the sizzle of the skillet, the aroma in the air as each flavor is developed. \u00a0Everything about cooking makes me happy (other than our overly sensitive smoke detector, that I have set off 3 or 4 times since we moved here less than a year ago). \u00a0I also really dislike a glass top stove when I have been used to gas. \u00a0You can&#8217;t blister on a glass top, it just won&#8217;t work.<br \/>\nI love trying new ingredients and recipes. \u00a0It is just very fun to change up from the regular course of food. \u00a0Before I met my spouse, I was very apprehensive to try new things. \u00a0Ask him about the time he took me to an Indian restaurant the first time and I was utterly appalled by the entree I ordered until I tasted it, then I was in love. \u00a0It was Saag Paneer, which if you don&#8217;t know is pureed spinach and farmer&#8217;s cheese. \u00a0It looks like wet lawnmower clippings, but it tastes absolutely delicious. \u00a0Thus began my love of Indian food. \u00a0So much so that the first time I saw Ghee in a store, I shrieked and my mother thought there was something very wrong with me. \u00a0Nope, just never thought I&#8217;d be able to find that in store.<br \/>\nI also have developed a serious love for the slow cooker. \u00a0Always thought they were just for old ladies. \u00a0Yeah, no, not even close. \u00a0I use mine a couple times a month and will probably use it more now that winter is coming.<br \/>\nI could go on and on, but I&#8217;m sure you will get bored after awhile. \u00a0So, here are some of the favorite recipes that I&#8217;ve tried thus far:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coq Au Vin<\/li>\n<li>Beouf Bourguignon<\/li>\n<li>Chickpea Masala<\/li>\n<li>Ratatouille<\/li>\n<li>Cuban Sandwiches (the pork in this recipe is amazingly simple and DELICIOUS!!)<\/li>\n<li>A lemon, butter white wine sauce that goes great with fish and potatoes<\/li>\n<li>Spicy marinara<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are plenty more, but I&#8217;m going to make myself something to eat because I&#8217;ve made myself hungry \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\nUntil tomorrow&#8230;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is a favorite hobby?\u00a0 Other than shopping for makeup, because you know every girl has to have 1,000,000 lipsticks.
