Slept waaaay too long. Oops. That happened after watching what’s going on in DC with piqued interest. I guess Dave Chapelle was playing one of the larger venues in town for its reopening….just before people are going to be forced to wear masks again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since I’m scheduled to see a comedy show in the District next weekend, if it happens, I’ll probably have to wear a mask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I bought one of these<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concept of a non-player character seems incredibly appropriate in a locked-down society. Let me see your vaccination record, cretin, I mean citizen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you read a controversial book, such as \u201cMein Kampf\u201d or \u201cThe Communist Manifesto\u201d?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I actually read both of those in college. Both books have to be taken in perspective of the times in which they were written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latter fits with Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle<\/em>. in The Jungle<\/em>, horrible things happen to the poor protagonist until he joins a labor union, and discovers the greatness of socialism. Mein Kampf<\/em> could closer to The Jungle<\/em>, but driven by misplaced blame for all of post-war Germany’s woes (on Jews and Communists).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will say that Lenin’s writings get down closer to the barbarity that would happen with Communism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m too lazy to find the quote, but there’s a concept that the Venezuelans wanted Sweden, but ended up getting Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
