Pretty much.  I&#8217;m on puppy duty after an unspeakably long Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s a situation where I&#8217;ve been handed something that, yes, I&#8217;ve done in hte past, but I really don&#8217;t have a good idea what&#8217;s going on, and my physical limitations are really negatively affecting my performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe I&#8217;ll be better when I head there next week to try again.  Maybe I&#8217;ll have more energy because I won&#8217;t have been trapsing around a very notable NoVA landmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Navigating that place is difficult for healthy people. Need to have some more papers filled, and probably go into the District for an are-you-really-disabled exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am I Sofa King done?  <em><strong>*shrug*<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I&#8217;ll keep trying until I can&#8217;t anymore.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kind of how I roll.  Always has been.  But, legitimately, I&#8217;m near the end.  A bit depressing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have I been listening to <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Exile_in_Guyville\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Exile In Guyville<\/a><\/em> for unknown reasons?  Yep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>A lot of the thinking this morning is flavored by the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/418-the-state-of-debate-w-mike-pesca\/id356090797?i=1000625675134\"><em>WTF<\/em><\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/418-the-state-of-debate-w-mike-pesca\/id356090797?i=1000625675134\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/418-the-state-of-debate-w-mike-pesca\/id356090797?i=1000625675134\">episode<\/a>.  Don&#8217;t wanna hear what I have to say?  Okay.  I&#8217;m going to keep doing and thinking what I want.  <a href=\"https:\/\/control-h.org\/?p=1703\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I can leave<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I am tired, and having vague flashes of dread about the full dose of the medication Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do I alter my plans to potentially accommodate a negative reaction?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I don&#8217;t know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And worrying about it isn&#8217;t going to do me much good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, while I&#8217;m responsible for the dog the next couple of days, I&#8217;m going to try to enjoy that as much as I can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And I guess we&#8217;ll see how the week plays out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a week off, I&#8217;m back to doing what I do on the weekend.
