Lots of thoughts this morning about anticipation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My vintage comes out with the earworms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the anticipation surrounds flying, how this new arrangement is going to work out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I’m not waiting my whole damn life to take the flight, but….<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Alanis Morissette - Ironic (Official 4K Music Video)\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Jne9t8sHpUc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I’m hoping this new arrangements will work well.. Eying a Sunday through the next Tuesday trip. Comfortable ride from DC to NOLA, then a nice ride from NOLA to Biloxi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But if you never look forward to anything, you’re never disappointed, Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So Gen X it’s painful sometimes. Whatever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But on all this, I should look harder, too, into how much the fancier rides from MSY would be..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hmm. Yeah, it’d all come out in the wash if you consider time saved, stress, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A certain phrase circles my scarred brain; “just do it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There I go again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other things swirling around my thoughts. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefp.com\/p\/sex-ed-trump-administration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">This<\/a> from Kat Rosefield over at TheFP. Yes, I made her the Jewish “Rosenfeld” at first draft. Unintentional. Or was it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interesting intersections with my own experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also following the Iran stuff. I guess <a href=\"https:\/\/ynetnews.com\/article\/hyfojfmszg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a tanker hit a mine in the Strait of Hormuz<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But to keep it from happening again, we should totally make a deal with the people who set the mine after killing a ton of their own people. Not doing that makes it a <strong><em>War of Choice<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I’m sorry, but channeling mainstream Democrat talking points on this is almost impossile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I include JDVP there, too, but he would have been a Democrat in 2006. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was supposed to free-write today, but I did that yesterday. So new prompts scanned…<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>What practices help me stay connected to a sense of purpose?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um. Considering that I’m feeding one of the few compulsions I have in my case of OCD, I don’t know that there’s anything in particular that helps. I’ve been encouraged, and “encouraged” might not be a good word for it, to try to do things that deviate from usual “practices.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even this, which I’m not supposed to be doing, tends to fall into a predictable pattern. It’s not good for me, but it’s something to which I become quickly accustomed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>How can I make more space for them in my life?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">See above. I’ve been encouraged to do something different, yet here I am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*checks calendar*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yeah, I might get <s>bitched at<\/s>chided.
