It is what it is. \u00a0I’m becoming accustomed to it. \u00a0I don’t miss Rebif at all. \u00a0I’m hoping this latest exacerbation is calming down, though. \u00a0My vision has been affected more, lately, and it’s making everything in life difficult.<\/p>\n
Side effects? \u00a0Digestive, primarily. \u00a0Some of the flushing in my face and upper torso. Headaches. \u00a0Is it as unpleasant as Rebif? \u00a0Uh, no. \u00a0Not even close.<\/p>\n
(I also reflexively want to add an “h” to Tecfidera when I type it…..<\/p>\n
Technology:<\/p>\n
I cease to be amazed at how much cruft is around. \u00a0Everywhere. \u00a0But especially in IT. \u00a0Why does some of this cruft persist? \u00a0Two reasons.<\/p>\n
1. \u00a0People are used to it, and demand that it continue in perpetuity, and;<\/p>\n
2. \u00a0Nobody knows exactly what it is that the technology does.<\/p>\n
Digging to the bottom of number two fixes the utility question. \u00a0Whether or not there’s a fix for the ubiquity question, I don’t know. \u00a0There’ve been baby steps in the right direcion, but the young people responsible for those baby steps have been pushed aside. \u00a0The grayhairs waint things to stay exactly as they were, and they’re the ones making the decisions. \u00a0So just replacing the functionality isn’t enough to make the argument for change…..<\/p>\n
