Ain\’t got shit to say

Haven’t written since Shmoo. Damn.
I think I’m going to make a few changes coming soon with how I write. As some of you may know, I have another online journal that I’ve been keeping since the summer of 1999. I still keep it up, and very few people I know IRL have read it. In fact, I think I can count the number of people on one hand. That one is for more private things, as well as my own sometimes tortured thoughts. Nobody wants to hear me bitch and whine, right?
The Livejournal account I set up to communicate with people I do know, mostly from CNU, although I’ve added a few others along the way.
My blog is something I started because I wanted to try out some of the other software. Livejournal’s native interface has always annoyed me a bit, and I’ve yet to find a client that really works well for me. I can also write stuff in the blog that’s just fluff….bullshitting back and forth with the #757 posse.
I think, however, I’m going to change things up. I think what I am going to do is set the Livejournal account to “friends only,” and write the fluff in the blog. That way I can write more serious stuff on LJ, and have some privacy. If you are on Livejournal, and wish to continue to see my steaming piles of wisdom, check my friends page. I’ve set up a RSS feed of the #757 blogfeed. If you add that as a friend, you’ll get me, along with the other people. If you don’t have a paid account, and just want me, pester the fuck out of me, and I’ll make an RSS feed of just me.
If you is ain’t be on my friends page, and you think you ought to be, drop a note.
That’s it for the moment. The friends-only switch will happen when I decide I’ve got something semi-private (read: I don’t want my employer reading) to post.

Shmooooooooooo

So, I’m at Shmoocon, just chillin’ in the room right now, because the stuff I want to see isn’t until this afternoon. There aren’t as many people as I thought there’d be. Also going on in the hotel is some defense seminar, as well as a Christian Education Conference.
It’s an interesting mix, to say the least.
I paid the troll to use intarweb in the room, but I’ve been able to serve everyone else over my airport card acting as a WAP. It’s pretty cool how well it works.

I feel old

Flipping through random journals tells me that. People born in 1986 in college. Ack. I remember shit from 1986, yo, some of it pretty well (i.e. Challenger, Bears winning Super Bowl, moving to Europe).
And, I’m bored. So I took the following…..

I am 35% Asshole/Bitch.
Part Time Asshole/Bitch.

I may think I am an asshole or a bitch, but the truth is I am a good person at heart. Yeah sure, I can have a mean streak in me, but most of the people I meet like me.

Yea, right.

John Leo, a guy I don’t often like has an interesting column today, which kind of harkens back to what I wrote the other day here (It didn’t get posted to LJ, because LJ was down at the time).
Fascinating, and disgustingly true. Yes, there are some complete idiots on the right (google for “Paul Revere Society”), granted. But engaging in an argument with the left these days is an excercise in futility for the most part. Something about “politics of personal destruction.” Well, maybe not quite. But namecalling and ridicule is par-for-the-course…..Al Gore’s extra chromosome remark comes immediately to mind. And yes, I know what an extra chromosome causes, Al.
